So I’ve lived in the Netherlands for just shy of 6 months and can happily say that majority of these nicknames memenames** are warranted. They have definitely hit Leiden on the head as “Frat Boy City”. It’s funny how I can recognise the result of my exploration of The Netherlands represented in a comical map such as this. It’s not only nice to be able to identify the cities the names represent, but also understand why they are dubbed so.
